Today we departed a little later after taking another walk around the grounds. We had a fair amount of rain last night when the cold front went through so some more leaves came down as a result. The leaves are about three weeks or so behind home at this point I would say.
The drive down the interstate was perfect. 65mph and smooth roads all the way. Ohio does a good job on this section of the Interstate. The Michigan section was horrible. Because they build them there I guess they figure they can keep the roads horrible so they break faster. Who knows, but it was piecemeal concrete, asphalt, pot holes, and bad repairs.
We are using the RV Life software to do the routing from A to B as well as using the built in system in the coach. Both systems have features that allow the input of our length, width, height, and weight so the routing will not take us onto roads that have low bridges or other restrictions. There are pros and cons to each and I am not sure if I like one better than the other at this point, but when they disagree it really presents a problem. I have not figured out yet why one will disagree on a particular routing but will try to figure it out.
Today the system in the coach told me to turn off just north of Cincinnati to head East but the RV Life software said to keep going. I kept going and had to turn around at the next exit because as it turns out the coach system was correct. I think the RV Life software could not figure out the subtle differences in lane placement for exits that take place when reconstruction moves a lane slightly from where it was last year. we got back on track and made it safe and sound but next time we are going to review both systems complete routing profiles before we take off. Another checklist item.
We arrived just after noon and got set up nicely. Went out for some fresh fruits and vegetables to stock the fridge up again after emptying it for the border crossing. Other than that we will get out and explore this area a bit over the next few days. This was a relatively easy 185 mile day with one rest stop half way.

For the next three nights we are staying at the Family Motorcoach Associaton campground. This is an association we joined earlier this year and use it for research on places to stay and RV related support and resources. One of the benefits is you can stay at their campground just East of downtown Cincinnati and use it as a convenient site to explore the area.
